First, you deserve all the privacy you can get, hands down, no question about it. Second, I was a victim in the past.
Let me tell you my experience... A while back (when I first started subscribing to e-zines, an e-publisher I know rented my e-mail address to a list broker. Mine and about 6,000 other e-mail addresses.
He figured he could make a quick buck and nobody would be any the wiser for it.
He was wrong.
As a result of his lapse in judgment, I started receiving a ton of SPAM. That was the moment I realized how much I despise SPAM.
In any case, that will never happen to you as a result of being a "Win a Cake contest entrant. I don't release my entrants' e-mail addresses. I don't trade them with other Websites. I don't sell them to the highest bidder.

We use your e-mail address to notify you of the monthly winners in our Win a Cake contest. We occasionally may notify you of an upcoming special or web promotion that you may benefit from and/or enjoy, feel free to share these specials with friends and family.
If for any reason you feel that we have abused this privilege please go to our REMOVE page and we will personally make sure your e-mail address is removed from all further mailings.
